π What a fantastic way to wrap up Semester 1, 2024! π
CCJS had an amazing semester with our members, friends, and teachers!
This year has so far been an huge success! Behind the scenes we have been meeting with the Faculty of Law and Criminology Program Convenors, Dr Alice Neikirk (Criminology) Bachelor of Criminology, Bachelor of Criminology (Honours), Bachelor of Criminology / Bachelor of Psychological Science and Dr Bin Li ( Bachelor of Laws (Honours) (All Combined Programs except B Innovation & Entrepreneurship/ B Laws), as well as Dr Joseph Wenta, the joint program convenor for the Law / Legal Practice- Juris Doctor / Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice.
Your Program Convenor is the academic who has overall responsibility for the management and quality of your University program. They engage with students to:
-provide an approachable and supportive learning environment
-respond to student feedback about programs
-Support student experiences by working together with your Program Advisors to determine enrolment patterns, credit, progress and all other program related arrangements, in line with the Universityβs policies and procedures.
In these meetings the Head of School and Dean Professor Belinda Bennett was also in attendance and was very keen to hear about our student cohort experiences.
Earlier in the semester we had our famous start of semester drinks at the most beautiful venue! Take a peek at our social media to see more photos! We were joined by a wonderful group of students from all degrees and that was a very enjoyable night!
Our local Newcastle Court House visit was a great success and we were able to take students into the court room to meet the court staff, sheriffs as well as corrections staff who took our group into the cells for a brief tour and glimpse into the workings of what their job looks like.
Enjoy some of the photos we've attached! We look forward to seeing everyone next semester, hopefully feeling refreshed and energised for Semester 2, 2024! πβ¨ #SemesterRecap #CCJS #GreatMemories #SeeYouNextSemester
